Pearl Hour: Discover Monterey's Premier Cocktail Bar with Live Jazz

Wonderful cocktail bar, Gelb is a great bartender, and they had some lovely, live jazz music. Their drinks are spectacular and even have seasonal specials. The atmosphere is relaxing and very enjoyable. They even have couches & an open air space in the back with a brazier for warmth. If you also need to pace yourself, they have a delicious non-alcoholic selection of drinks, including seltzer and tea.

Unassuming presence on busy Lighthouse Ave hide Pearl Hour from those not in the know. Step inside the front door or the cool speakeasy side entrance and you'll find this place rocks! An old school bar, plenty of tables front a small stage which hosts live bands, DJ house music and other entertainment while the outside with its fire pit and eclectic decor and tasteful craft cocktail make this a go to for girls night out or a first date. Highly recommended.

Great bar! Vibes on the inside with a stage for live music, etc., cozy spacious outdoor patio with fire pits and pop up food truck. They do zodiac-inspired cocktails! Will definitely come back for the monthly drag shows.

Really chill place. Drinks were well crafted and the outside had a seating next to a big fire pit. We went on a Friday night and it wasn't busy but still took a while to get our first drink order in

Good spot to hang. Plenty of young people and it's lively on a Saturday night. Make sure you get here early cause seats are hard to get and they switch the menu to handle the crowd. They have events as well, check their website. Menu is easy to read and plenty of choices. Best spot for cocktail.

One of the best gems on Monterey! Unobstrusive, subtle, cozy, with blues playing in the background while you laugh with friends in the backyard patio. You don't want to leave, but someone still has to drive...

This has to be the best cocktail bar in the 831 hands down. The menu changes depending on the month and horoscope. They have live jazz every Sunday with frequent djs, bands, dancers and more. The modern love always hits the spot. 100/10

Pearl Hour has been, for quite some time, our favorite bar in Monterey and one of our favorite bars in Monterey. We reached out to PH to ask whether we could host a welcome drinks event the night before our wedding, and they graciously accepted! I can’t begin to explain how incredible the service we got in preparation for and during the event was. Every single one of our guests gushed about the quality of the delicious cocktails and how BEAUTIFUL the space was.
